MENTAL HEALTH 101

This course will provide an overview of mental health issues and diagnoses, interventions and psychotropic medications. Information will be covered on the history of treatment for offenders with mental health issues and the impact now on the criminal justice system and probation. Disability and special education laws will be covered as well as how to effectively make accommodations for offenders with mental health issues with regards to developing effective interventions and treatment plans.
